real estate merchandising: Chairs of Character: A pictoral guide to stylish seating vol I. The British Invasion - 10/08/08 05:36 PM

The Red Room of the White House designed in the Empire Style
Vol I. The British Invasion
I love auctions and nothing gets my adrenaline pumping like bidding and obtaining antiques at auction; especially when I'm getting a good deal on a quality piece of furniture. Not everything sold at auction is an antique but it's usually the antiques that get the biggest buzz when placed before the gavel. Not only are most antiques of better quality and construction, they are often less expensive than their contemporary counterparts. And what better way to help the environment then buying previously owned furniture.
Obviously, antiques work in certain … (10 comments)

Pillow Talk: the artful placement of pillows...

real estate merchandising: Impatiens are a virtue... when it comes to curb appeal! - 05/17/08 10:51 AM
Impatiens are a virtue... when it comes to curb appeal!

A little flower can go along way in sprucing up your curb appeal. In this case the little flower is the impatien.
This hardy part sun, part shade annual comes in many colors, and grows quickly. I like them because they take minimal care and produce vibrant and beautiful blossoms.
Whether you plant them in beds or pots these little flowers create a big impact on your curb appeal at little cost and little effort.
