Yesterday was a banner day – closed two beautiful lakefront lots.
I’ve been keeping track of lakefront property sales by quarter for more than a decade – so it was easy to put my sales in perspective. Through Sept end, there have been 64 private lakefront lots sold on Lake Oconee – more than any full year since 2006. The 25 lots sold in each of the last two quarters are more than any quarter since Q2 of 2006. Average sold price year to date is a robust $381K – certainly down (3 comments)
No one has a crystal ball, of course, but signs are pointing to a recovery. Year to date sales volume through September 30 is up 20.8% compared to the same period in 2009, according to statistics compiled by the Lake Country Board of Realtors.
More Lake Oconee private lakefront homes have been sold in three quarters of 2010 than were sold in all of 2009, and the average price is up 25%!
