How to ask for a referral with out looking like a chump. I will be the first one to admit that I am not really a good salesperson. Coming from a REALTOR® that may seem like an odd statement. I have never been very comfortable asking people for things or the whole "pick me, pick me" routine. I don't really think that you have to be a sales person to be successful in this industry. I want to build a custom home....so how do I start? As with any real estate transaction, the place to start is always financing. Before you start looking at land, picking out floor plans or any of that fun stuff you must make sure you understand the financing that will be involved. I am by no means a mortgage expert but here is a little information to get you started. Make sure you contact a qualified mortgage lender who will be able to explain in detail what is required so he/she can get you going!

"Success is a journey, not a destination." Ben Sweetland I took this picture on a particularly tough day. I was struggling to figure out how to run my business and create success for myself, getting used to being responsible for my own income. Having gone from a salaried position to full time real estate was not easy. I had some personal struggles going on in my life at the time and had to fight every day to maintain a positive attitude. To top it off...it was the middle of winter and I desperately missed the sunshine and warm weather.
