It’s almost time for the biggest game of the year. The stage is set for the Seahawks and Broncos showdown on Feb. 2 (plus you can’t forget about the Red Hot Chili Peppers/Bruno Mars halftime performance), and it’s not too soon to make plans about where you’re going to watch the game.
 
Personally, I’m a fan of the relaxed Super Bowl house party—you know, the ones with chicken wings, chips and dip, brownie bites, (all the unhealthy stuff), and watching the game on my LED flat screen with 7.1 surround sound.

The Old Coppell Historic District encompasses most of the original town site, including the original location of Coppell City Hall. The Old Coppell area was once the community's hub for activity including business, shopping, and to catch the train. Such activities largely disappeared with the outward growth of Coppell and the development of new suburban oriented commercial districts. Today the area is being revitalized to create a new mixed-use development with retail shops, farmers market, villas and townhomes.

Coppell Aquatics and Recreation Center has just completed their 11,000 square foot addition. The new addition includes a large new fitness center with 27 new machines with individual tvs, new larger classrooms, state of the art equipment and a more open feel while you work out.  The indoor and outdoor pools have been revamped, including installing new slip resistant decking and slides for indoor and outdoor pools.  The Coppell Aquatic Center is always a great place to meet and enjoy Summer fun with your children.

Coppell New Tech High School has it's first graduating class in 2011.  The first years Seniors received a total of $1,000,000 in scholarships alone.  The Coppell High School gradutating class of 2011 received over $29,949,621 in scholarships for graduating Seniors.  This was the largest amount in Coppell ISD to date.
