Now is a great time to buy a home or two. 6% 200,000 30 year fixed rate for 720 credit score will have principal/ interest payment of $1199 4.375% 200,000 20 year fixed rate for same credit score with 80% loan to value (LTV) has principle/interest payment (P&I) of $1251 The payment increases $52/mo but instead of 30 years, you are triming the term of the loan by several years.
