November 11th is a Federal holiday, in which it has been called Veterans Day. Veterans Day shouldn't be the only day to be a proud American and to honor Veterans. Veterans Day shouldn't be the only day to be proud as an American. We should be proud every day. But it certainly should be a day to recognize all those men and woman who sacrificed their lives for our country and those still serving our proud country. Veterans Day in my opinion is not only a day which we remember those that served are Country, giving us the freedom that we have today, but those that serve us actively as I speak. I guess I bleed red, white, and blue in so many ways. After 911, which was very devastating to so many of us, I think it was a wake up call to so many of us. Telling us that we are not safe on our own soil and that we need to make a stand to anyone that threatens us, our family's, and our homeland.
