Well it certainly is not our annual multi-million dollar contracts . . . or the papparazzi that follow us around! LOL But seriously . . . Congratulations to the International Association of Home Staging Professionals who this year is celebrating 10 years - that's right - a DECADE of Excellence! In 1999, Founder Barb Schwarz had the vision and foresight to establish the first professional Association to serve the Home Staging industry. Patterned after other professional Associations - the National Association of Realtors and the National Speakers Association - IAHSP based its membership in excellence, education and ethics. The 6th Annual IAHSP Convention held this week in Bellevue, WA was a HUGE success! We had so many Stagers join us representing over 27 states and 4 Canadian provinces - and we had the best time! The International Association of Home Staging Professionals (IAHSP) provides this annual event and is the only association that has this history of providing continuing education and excellence for its membership. With about a week to go before our Annual IAHSP-ASP Home Staging Convention (I am getting sooooo excited!!!!) - I wanted to take the opportunity to toot the horn of really deserving and talented Home Stagers that have been nominated for prestigious Home Staging Industry Awards! More prime time press and exposure for Home Staging as a key part of selling houses. the CBS Early Show did a feature on "Selling a House in a Buyer's Market" and one the tips the author of the article discusses is making sure the house is Staged. I was even more excited when I read the endorsement for the ASP Designation in this article - that was, I might add, unsolicited.
