Santa Claus is Coming to Crofton, Maryland! Thanks to the generosity of the Anne Arundel Volunteer Fire Department, Santa will be coming to town this weekend for lunch, and then again throughout the week, visiting the neighborhood children and grown ups while riding on his second-favorite vehicle: an Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firetruck!
Lunch with Santa: Saturday, December 14th at the AVFD - 2380 Davidsonville Road, Gambrills Santa Claus will stop by the Anne Arundel Volunteer Fire Department from 11-1 on Saturday, December 14th, for hot dogs and balloon animal making with Hugs the clown. Monday evening, the Crofton Civic Association and Crofton Country Club hosted their annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Christmas party. Since the large evergreen on the Village Green became too large to adorn with lights many years ago, a metal substitute has been the official Crofton Christmas tree. The weather was chilly, but the event drew a sizeable crowd anyway.
Residents gathered outside for the official lighting and Christmas carols were sung by the Elizabeth Ann Seton children’s choir while everyone waited for the illumination.
