decor: Too Much Decor? How to deal with Sellers having TOO MUCH STUFF (even though it's really nice?)?

Here's my Question du Jour: I have two sellers, both of whom collect antiques. One is actually selling a home on the historical register. The houses are both great- very updated (even the 167 year old one!), beautiful colors, in great condition. The problem I have is that every time I take a buyer through, I hear "Oh, it's decorated so nice- my stuff wouldn't look as good" or "I couldn't decorate it this way myself". Now, the homes are not cluttered, but the antiques obviously make it seem very unique. It feels strange to tell my sellers to make their … (2 comments)
