seo marketing: Quarantined? Time to Work on Your Marketing! - 03/17/20 10:59 AM
Whether you're up here in the heart of the US Coronavirus outbreak or somewhere else in the country or world, if you're being quarantined by this issue, maybe it's time to take a look at your website and marketing.

Has it been years since your site has been updated?
Have you gone lax on social media posting?
Has it been months or years since your last piece of fresh content on your website?
Is all the information accurate? (We see this a lot... wrong number, address, broken links, etc..)
Have you switched brokerages?
Is it up to date or outdated?
What would a buyer or seller think when they … (6 comments)

seo marketing: Can You Really Do Your Own SEO? YES! - 03/20/17 07:38 AM
You have a website. You want that website to rank. You want potential leads to find your website, click on the ‘contact you’ button or sign up for a newsletter and eventually become a customer. But how do they find your website? SEO, search engine optimization, or even a newer term SEM, search engine marketing, is all about taking the website that you have and turning it into a website people love, will click on, and sign up. Designing the website and throwing it out into the interwebs will not get you business. You must market that website just as you would any … (10 comments)

seo marketing: Low Quality vs. High Quality Content - Smart Blogging - 06/01/16 08:27 AM

Google is BIG on high quality content.. I mean really big on it. Which is good. So many SEO companies use outsourced Internet marketers in India and other overseas countries as their main content source, so all the content is spun (same information, worded a little differently), has poor grammar and multiple misspellings. This is low quality content and no one wants to read it. If the same image, same content and same information is across numerous websites, Google will track it down and shoot it; (organically speaking).
To really get that high quality content that Google is looking for you either have to pay … (37 comments)

seo marketing: SEO is Always Changing - Are You Changing With It? - 07/18/11 02:01 PM
SEO is Always Changing - Are You Changing With It?
Google is constantly updating the way they measure sites, pages and articles. We cannot just gather fluffy back links and let that be enough. We cannot stuff our sites with thousands of keywords so that we get found for that keyword. We cannot load up our pages with content that no one really wants to read for the sake of having content.
Anytime an SEO black hatter comes along and tries to outsmart the system, Google devises a way to stay ahead of the game and give the people exactly what … (11 comments)

seo marketing: With Everyone Claiming to Know SEO, Who Can You Trust? What Makes an SEO Expert? - 04/16/11 03:55 AM
What makes you an expert?  Is it training, experience, knowledge, skill, ability or education? How about a little of everything? It's hard to call someone an expert without any experience regardless of the book knowledge. Just because you took 300 hours of real estate education did you know everything there was to know about it when conducting your first transaction? Probably not. If so, wow, maybe you are an expert!
You can Google just about any SEO term, phrase or question and perhaps get 3 or more differing opinions. Do you trust the first one you read? Do you believe the … (33 comments)

seo marketing: Is Your Web Host Piggybacking on Your Site? - 04/15/11 09:28 AM
Is Your Web host Piggybacking on Your Site?
Lenn had a great post about domain names today and in it she mentioned that some website hosting and design companies create back links at the bottom of your website linking back to their company site. While this is type of practice is the norm some go a little above and beyond reasonable practices. As I found yesterday one site even converted their clients pages back to their own personal domain although all the pages appeared as if they were his own.
Unfortunately SEO companies and online marketers prey on people's lack of … (21 comments)

Personal SEO Launches Our New Website - SEO Website Marketing and Content Writing
Isn't that always the case? Your own business gets worked on last? I have been busy writing, designing and optimizing websites galore and while I love what I do my own website has been sadly neglected. So much so that I literally had a comment on my blog last week that said my site was pathetic... ok, point well taken. It has needed some much needed love in quite a while. I mean how can you brag about doing what you do when your own website was in … (10 comments)

seo marketing: Are you gonna stick with it? Or do you fizzle out quickly? - 02/25/11 11:12 AM
Early Bird gets the worm... but the cat that took the time to wait all night gets the bird! - Fat from the worms no less...
I'm getting asked a lot about the value of blogging and SEO in general. Most folks on ActiveRain are trying to invest themselves into SEO practices and that's great! It does take time and there are so many different ways to implement organic SEO techniques into you blog, your website, your social media and more. It's a full time job just to keep up with the latest SEO news much less conduct actual real estate … (41 comments)
