Monday 10/22/07 was the Directors meeting for approved Real Estate licensing schools in New Jersey. As usual the REC Commissioner ran a great meeting. Much about Foxtons was discussed and we should see on Friday where the whole thing goes next. As far as education goes most schools are still going strong and turning out newly licensed agents. The question of continuing education came up again and some of the bigger company brokers seem to be against requiring it. I do not see why continuing education for agents,brokers,and broker-salespeople is a bad thing. Maybe the big companies are afraid of losing all those part … (0 comments)

Now that the market has changed how many agents will stay working? New Jersey does not have continuing education. Maybe its time they started. My understanding is that the new rule is 80% of the money is earned by 20% of the agents. Think about the benefits of having your biggest asset handled by a full time professional agent and not a part timer. Would anyone hire a doctor that worked part time as a doctor? … (2 comments)
