Most agents will tell you that remodeling your home right before coming on the market is not such a great idea because it’s extremely difficult to get dollar for dollar out of it.  That’s not true all of the time, but a good deal of the time it is.
I advise my Sellers that a minimum of carpet and paint should be addressed before listing their home.  You want the home to show as new as possible and painting walls and laying new carpet go a long way toward sprucing up your home.  Obviously, you should choose neutral colors and introduce splashes of … (4 comments)
