I came across this article in Miami Today this morning and thought I'd share the link. What Brickell condo slump? Developer adds units. an excerpt from the article:"A congested Brickell condo market [...] isn't deterring Mr. Renzi, he said. The city's residential market "always bounces back," he said. "Miami and other cities may have an oversupply, but it depends on location. When you look at the Biscayne Corridor and see that thousands of units are in the pipeline, that is a problem I see coming. This is just a quick post to share some Miami condominium sales data comparing volume and sales price between 2006 and 2007 (for the second quarter of each year). Of course, these numbers do not include days on market or how much inventory is on the Miami condo market as a whole (especially with all of the new construction inventory).
