just thoughts: Everyone Likes A Sale, RIGHT?? - 08/13/10 03:22 AM
Can you believe that many homes are selling for 25 to 30 percent less than they were just a few short years ago?
Do you realize that interest rates are historically low?
Put these two together and you have an awesome sale!!  We are talking savings of thousands of dollars!!
If this was a Kohl's ad, you people would be all over it!  Get out there and do your research, get pre approved for a mortgage, go over your numbers to be REALISTIC with what YOU can afford and be ready, just incase that perfect home comes on the market that you … (0 comments)

just thoughts: Where Have All The Buyers Gone? - 07/21/10 08:45 AM
I can't believe with...
the number of homes for sale the number of price reductions the current interest rates that there are not more buyers atleast trying to buy.  Do they really need an incentive by the Govt. to jump in and take control of the best financial decision they could make in a while?  Or is the economy and the lack of jobs that serious of a situaton that the number of buyers really is as low as it appears?
I know homes are selling but I also know I see a lot of decent deals out there and I … (1 comments)

just thoughts: More Nonsense From The PA Government! - 03/13/09 04:39 PM
Looks like after paying $173,820 to Solutions 21, a Pittsburgh-based firm, our state will have more customer friendly sales clerks in our Wine and Spirits stores.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME????
They are government stores!  What are people going to do?  Go elsewhere to find friendlier clerks to wait on them with better customer service?  Give me a BREAK!
What a waste of money!  Are you telling me they just couldn't find a better use for that money?
It must be nice to be able to spend money that comes from other people.
Is this just me or does … (9 comments)

just thoughts: Attention Home Buyers--Important Information! - 12/11/08 02:35 PM
As a potential home buyer you may know a Real Estate professional or you might not.  I want to take a few minutes and talk to those who have some kind of relationship with a local real estate pro.  Whether it is someone you used in the past or maybe someone a friend or family member used and told you about them, they want to help.
If you know someone or know of someone, call them when you want to see something.  Many times I hear from clients that say they went to see a house and that they did not … (0 comments)

just thoughts: The Latest Hersey Poll Numbers Are Out! McCain Way Ahead! - 10/22/08 05:26 AM
With all this talk about polls all the time, it got me thinking.  I have been of voting age since 1989 and I have NEVER been asked who I was planning on voting for and why from any poll company out there.
So, I decided to do my own poll and the results follow...

McCain - 83.33%
Obama - 16.67%

There were a total of 24 people asked who they were going to vote for.
The way I see it, these polls we always hear about do nothing more than make people second guess themselves and make them think … (35 comments)

just thoughts: A Real AMERICAN Team - 08/12/08 04:23 AM
I could not help but notice that our men's gymnastic team is made up of many national origins.  That is what America is all about, isn't it?  That is awesome to see!
Kevin Tan.
Alexander(Sasha) Artemev.
Raj Bhavsar.
Also, we have Chris Estrada.  I think he got hurt and was not part of the medal winning team.
What a great example to show the world what we are all about!  A true melting pot.  Maybe we could all learn from them.  Do you think they see each other as different races or as AMERICANS?  I did not see any of them … (9 comments)

just thoughts: Who likes PIZZA? How about when it is delivered to your house? - 07/24/08 04:27 AM
I have noticed a steady increase in the price of pizza from Dominoes lately.
If you ask my wife, I would be considered an expert on the issue!  My kids and I could eat pizza regularly and not think twice about it.  Her, not so much!
Anyway, they other night I called for some pizza.  For a while they had a 5$ each for 3 medium pizzas deal.  Now, mediums should be called SMALL anyway, but that is another post.  Then they started a new deal, $4 each for 3 small pizzas.  That was great, just enough for us!  Well, when I … (4 comments)

just thoughts: More Wasting Time By Another Politician! - 06/10/08 04:12 PM
As I write this, a House Clerk is reading a resolution by Rep. Kucinich (D.-OH) to impeach President Bush.  She started reading at 8:25 PM Eastern.  Kucinich already read it yesterday(Monday) and it took him almost 5 hours!  I hope this girl is up for another hour and a half of this.  I wonder if she is paid by the hour.  It looks like a vote may take place tomorrow.
So, of those who will be voting, have they read this, all but 5 hour, resolution or did they listen to Kucinich or this House Clerk read it?  The amount of … (31 comments)

just thoughts: How We KNOW God Is Real And Know What He Wants From Us. - 06/09/08 02:54 AM
Here is some of what I took from it.  I hope this fills your heart with joy today!
God told us that He exists.  In Psalm 19 it says in verse 1 that the heavens declare the glory of God.
Look what it says in Romans 1:18-20...18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power … (8 comments)

just thoughts: Is My Town This Bad? How About Yours? - 06/06/08 04:03 PM
Hartford, Connecticut
Man get's hit by a car that appears to be chasing after another car and nobody seems to care!!
Is this the best we have to offer these days?  Does anyone care about people in need?
Maybe you saw this video, maybe not.  I would love to know what these people were thinking, who witnessed it and did not even go out and make sure no one else hit him while he was lying on the street.
You watch and let me know what you think!

just thoughts: CBS launching a real winner! - 05/17/08 03:37 PM
SWINGTOWN

Yes, you guessed it.  It is set in the 70's of course, about swingers, swapping wives and doing who knows what else.  What a disgrace!  I am sure this will help all of the troubled marriages out there.  Who comes up with this stuff?  Really?
I think I am really getting close to getting rid of cable.  Commercials that advertise this stuff are not even good for my kids to be seeing.  Who wants to answer, "Daddy, what is a swinger?"  Someone close to a divorce!!
Are they in need of ratings that bad and do they think this … (12 comments)

just thoughts: Perfect Politicians and People...Not Possible! - 05/08/08 04:06 AM
Are our elected officials perfect?  No.  Is anyone perfect?  No.  I am not looking for perfect but for people with character and integrity.  Most people today are in a sad state of corruptibility.  They have no values to stand by or stand up for.  They are easily swayed from what they say they believe in.
As a Realtor, I am supposed to abide by our Code Of Ethics.  When I read the Code, it sounds like common sense to me because I like to consider myself a man of integrity and character.  I hear many stories from other agents or unhappy clients … (13 comments)

just thoughts: Another Moment of Inspiration... - 04/29/08 02:33 AM
Come on, you know you need it!  This is from a story called The Dash.  No, not a race but the dash between your date of birth and your date of death!
While we are here living our lives day by day, sometimes we forget about the most important things.  I'll be the first to admit how easy that happens, with my hectic life.  Three kids who are usually on the go, a wonderful wife who works part time, trying to spend time with family and friends, commitments at church, clients, etc...  It becomes easy to forget why we are here!
The older … (4 comments)

just thoughts: Remembering my time in the Military... - 03/27/08 04:09 AM
I remember during the first gulf war, actually when it started it was called Dessert Shield.  It then became Dessert Storm I think.
Anyway, when Iraq invaded Kuwait, we were put on 12 hour shifts instantly.  I actually was working 3 to 11 and just got in bed around 12 or 1 and I had a knock on the door and was told I had to go back to work until 3 am.  So, I got dressed and went back in and did basically nothing until I could go back to my room and get to sleep.  Then the next day we … (8 comments)

just thoughts: Another moment of inspiration! - 03/25/08 07:39 AM
If you visited this site from a previous post, you may have already seen this.  Even if you have, it is well worth watching again.
Not only watching but learning and doing makes the difference.  How many times have we heard that before?
Decide to make it a great day and walk the talk!

Here is a link to the video, watch it, share it, watch it again.  You are either growing or you are not.  We never stay the same!

just thoughts: Number of troop deaths in Iraq! - 03/22/08 02:45 AM
1st, I would like to say I am sorry if I offend anyone with this post.
I have been hearing a lot of news lately about the number of deaths in Iraq getting close to 4,000.  I love how the news makes it sound.  "And today another 3 soldiers died in Irag..."  Why don't we hear the daily totals of deaths here in America that are totally senseless.
How about this one from USA Today...The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released data showing there were 13,470 deaths in 2006 involving drivers and motorcycle operators with blood alcohol levels of .08 or higher, which … (15 comments)

just thoughts: The Strangest Secret... - 03/12/08 06:13 AM
It has been a while since I listened to a cassette tape I have by Earl Nightingale called The Strangest Secret.  It was always one of my favorites.  It really gets you to think.  A lot of us in sales may have heard this or many things like it but you can't just hear it, you need to do it!
I came across this web site from a video we watched in a sales meeting this morning called 212 Degrees.  Basically water at 211 degrees is hot but at 212 it is boiling.  I would recommend going to the site after you … (4 comments)

just thoughts: What Do People Look For In A Real Estate Professional? - 02/25/08 12:51 PM
Some say they like experience.  Others like people who return calls and e-mails quickly.  Some say Market Knowledge.  How about designations?  I think buyers and sellers look for different things.  Here is how I see it.
Listing Agents - When I am working with a buyer I see things done by some seller's agents that I can not believe.  Things like no room measurements.  Man that one gets me!  Most people are looking for certain size bedrooms and living rooms.  Are they just hoping that once the people are there they will fall in love with the home willing to overlook the small rooms?  … (4 comments)

just thoughts: Do You Know Any Veterans? - 02/24/08 11:03 AM
Something that is really on my heart lately is the need to talk about our war veterans.  Yes, you might be against the war, and that doesn't matter.  What matters is they need our support while away but as importantly when they come home, if they are fortunate enough to do so.
I don't think a lot of people understand what these men and women (usually young), have many issues they need to deal with (ones we have NO idea about) even if they come home unharmed physically.  And to make matters worse, they come home and see the kinds of things we are complaining … (6 comments)
