Don’t be complacent in life, keep reaching! Challenge yourself! I keep telling myself this. Saying this and doing it are absolutely two different things. It seems as though we stay so busy with our daily tasks, we don’t take time to learn new things. For the new year, my resolution was to challenge myself. While in a rush to find something on my laptop, I was surprised to see Windows 10 installing. I didn't request the installation, it was simply just happening. After an hour of tapping my foot, unable to cancel the installation, Windows 10 was available for me.... My thought was, no problem, I didn't want the upgrade, but I could deal with it. I went to find the file I desperately needed on dropbox. Small problem, no dropbox. I then searched my document file to see I had NO DOCUMENTS! The Springville Rodeo is fast approaching. It's a wonderful weekend of family fun and entertainment. If you've never been to a rodeo, you're in for a treat. There are lots of events including barrel racing, bull riding, muttin bustin, and many others.
The weekend fun begins on Friday night when my daughter, Katie Hillen, the 2014 Springville Rodeo Queen will be giving up her title at the Rodeo Dance.
Saturday kicks off the actual rodeo with a parade down the main street of Springville. The Rodeo begins on Saturday at 6PM and again on Sunday at 2PM.

Christmas is the time of year for giving back to the community. For the past 5+ years, I've been working with my brokerage to provide Christmas toys to the children of a community that would otherwise not reveive a toy at Christmas. There are approximately 800 children in the community of Poplar. The project is called Poplar Santa. The project started many years ago, when a gentleman living in Poplar realized that many children in the area were going without Christmas gifts, so he started dressing as Santa and he and his wife would purchase gifts and wrap one for each child. … (5 comments)

My home for the holidays is built by my favorite local builder, Gary Smee, with Smee Builders. I sit at his model home selling homes when not out showing and selling resale homes. This is the first year that we've decorated a model home for Christmas and it's been so much fun for everyone to come visit. We've been included in the Annual Zonta Christmas Tour of homes, which included over 200 visitors in four hours. We've had hundreds of people in the model today viewing the home, their comments have been wonderful. It's amazing to me the number of people who still rent their house, when they can own a new home for the same amount, or less than rent! In a day and age where everything costs more than it used to, it's nice to know that with interest rates still very low, and the price of the home staying strong, you can purchase a home with very little down, and enjoy the monthly payments with taxes and insurance at the same or less than what many are paying for a monthly home rental. I've lived in California all my life and have lived in the Central Valley for most of those years.
