V-V-V! In this down-turned economy that has stricken so many and is striking even more with each passing day, those of us who "have it" could ease the pain of our stricken co-passengers on this marvelous Planet we call EARTH! Think back to that first academic experience with plant life! The cambium is the vitality of a plant's tissues. It is a multi-cell layer of actively dividing cells beneath the bark. Cambium cells that divide toward the trunk or center of the plant form xylem tissues. Those that divide toward the outside produce phloem cells. Phloem cells transport nutrients made in the leaves, such as sugar, to the roots for storage while xylem cells carry water from the soil to the above ground parts of the plant. There is a right way and a wrong way, like in most of life's challenges, so read about it at this link here. What a wonderful thought: That Tree that brought such JOY can now become MULCH and continue serving the landscape as mulch. There have to be some guidelines/rules or the Recyclers would be at curbside for hours taking off decorations, bags, etc. You will have a good time with this disposal project and maybe even increase you recycling efforts in the future! … (2 comments)
