I have a huge collection of books, magazines, newspapers, and DVDs from 9/11, and I try not to miss any of the many follow-up programs that regularly appear on television. Right now I'm watching Operation Yellow Ribbon on MSNBC, narrated by Tom Brokaw. I had never heard of Operation Yellow Ribbon nor the city where it took place: Gander, Newfoundland, Canada. Gander is a small city, incorporated in 1958, of almost 10,000 people. It is at the northeastern tip of Newfoundland and played a major role in World War II when Canadian and United States fighter plans stopped in Gander for refueling on (19 comments)
