The holiday season meansit's time for holiday music
Santa Claus is coming to town.... Jingle Bells.... Feliz Navidad.... Nutcracker.... Who can resist the joy that is in the holiday season music?
Following are significant holiday performances that I'm aware of.

holidays: Airline lost your luggage? Read this! - 12/20/09 02:45 PM
According to the Department of Transportation (DOT), airlines are not allowed to limit reimbursement of baggage on domestic flights for lost luggage. You might have noticed that the like to state that their liability for lost luggage is either $25, $100, or, uh, nothing!
The DOT says that "Carriers should remain willing to cover all reasonable, actual and verifiable expenses related to baggage loss, damage or delay up to $3,300" per passenger for domestic flights and $1,500 for international flights.

holidays: Veterans Day - 11/11/08 03:42 AM

 
So I'm reading a newspaper article about a veteran who was injured in Vietnam and placed in what I've always known as a "body bag" for the return home to America. A medic detected a faint pulse and rescued him, but the article said that he was rescued from a "KIA bag."
The only thing that popped into my mind was KIA the car, and I didn't understand what the car had to do with a wounded Vietnam veteran. I know KIA the car didn't arrive in America until the early 1990s.
