I guess with a little bit of feel time, the gears in our heads begin to turn and sometimes come up with some very valid "points to ponder."

Children ages 6 and under and their families are invited to the Old Village on Friday, Dec. 18 to enjoy the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department's annual Visit with Santa event. The excitement will begin at 12 p.m. at the G.M. Darby Building, located at 302 Pitt Street in the Old Village neighborhood of Mount Pleasant. There will be Christmas music, games, crafts, face painting and, of course, a visit with Santa himself. A photo will be provided, as well as free snacks for children. This event is free of charge.

As we mentioned in an earlier post, the 53rd Coastal Carolina Fair is currently in town and yesterday was our turn to jump on some rides and indulge in our share of fair food.
Unfortunately last year, Josh did not meet the height requirement of the 36 inches, but this year he topped out at 36.5 inches.  As you can see from the photos below, we had a blast. We had the chance to visit the petting zoo and see all the varieties of chickens, rabbits and cows.  It appeared that Josh was more interested in the cows and the baby goats more than … (3 comments)

Well, not so hidden anymore. I love this time of year for many reasons and one is that I have a passion for pumpkins. Pumpkin carving that is. I have loved carving pumpkins ever since I can remember. I recall my mother laying out the newspaper on the table, finding the largest knife that we owned and making a pumpkin master piece. Well, I sort have changed my technique and my tools consist of more than just a knife and a wooden spoon (you know that you are serious when you mention tools).

Charleston, SC ~ Earlier we posted the blog below about That BIG book Sale and today we had the chance to go get our hands on some awesome books and videos. There must have been over 10,000 books and videos to choose from. We purchased mostly children's books for Josh, we got 12-15 books for him. We purchased 1 wine book for me (Jim). Lastly, we purchased 6 videos for Josh. Now all the videos were VHS, but we didn't mind. After all, we have two VHS players that we never use and he loves the ones that we picked out.
