Time for a little history lesson.
Have you ever looked at the South Carolina State Flag and wondered what the two images represent?  I know I have, but I thought I already knew.
So what do you see?  A palm tree and a crescent moon, right?  Well, you're half right anyway.
Let's start with the most prominent image of the tree.  This is actually a Palmetto Tree.  This tree is a sign of strength for South Carolina.  It represents the defense of Fort Moultrie, which was constructed of palmetto logs, on Sullivan's Island from British attack in June 28, 1776.  The reason … (19 comments)

That's right!  Sales are starting to pick up in the Lowcountry.  Great news for sellers!  And if you've been looking for that perfect home, well, now might just be the time to act.
For the second month in a row, more than 500 homes sold in the tri-county area.  We saw 518 closed residential transactions in the month of April.  
For Charleston County alone the news was a bit brighter.  In April, the median sale prices rose again, to $239,500,while sales remained steady at 249.  Significant movement took place in and around Mount Pleasant, with 44 sales and a median sales price of $343,450.  The most … (12 comments)
