There are currently 1,448 active listings in Washington County. In a good market, there are about 800. It's all about supply and demand. If you plan on selling your house, you need to be the "Best in the Neighborhood" or it simply will not sell - there's just too many to choose from. It needs to be priced aggressively, and cannot have any obvious negatives; you'll need to find an honest Realtor - not one that will tell you what you want to hear, but someone that will look at your house objectfully and tell you truthfully what you need to do to … (0 comments)

There's so many people out there "sitting on the fence" waiting for that special sign - "that we've hit bottom" and it appears that it has to be in the newspaper or on TV. I really don't understand it: Rates are close to an all time low and sellers are offering all kinds of incentives & there's some really great deals out there. I think people are over anaylizing all the meaningless data available. A lot of the charts and graphs have little to do with their particular areas.
