condominiums: Austin Condo Market still is going well! - 11/06/07 01:13 AM
It is pretty crazy to think that Downtown Austin, Texas is still going well.  I guess it is no surprise to me, because there are only 5,000 residences here.  If you compare that to Vancouver, which is almost the same size as Austin, they have 80,000.  So we do have a lot of room to grow.  The only people who are worried are the ones that live here.  Most out of towner's can see what Austin will become.  I just wish some of the locals would could see it too, well I guess it will be their loss.  They are going to … (4 comments)

condominiums: Condo Market in Austin Texas - 08/23/07 08:14 AM
Here is a great article from the Austin American Statesman.
Many families are skipping the suburbs for a downtown condo excerpt from article by Michele Chan Santos in THE AMERICAN-STATESMAN THE AMERICAN STATESMAN 8.12.07
The downtown and near-downtown condo and townhouse market is exploding. And most of those units aren't selling to millionaire single guys who bought condos just to be near Sixth Street. Instead, empty-nesters who are retired and looking to downsize from large homes, couples and even some young families are increasingly calling condos within a 3-mile radius of the Capitol home.
This reflects a national trend toward more interest in living … (0 comments)

Finally looks like the lakes are opening up this week.  I was wondering what are some of your favorite places on the lake to go.  I really like hanging out at Hula Hut and relaxing.  I am interested in learning more about the lago vista area.  I am looking to buy a condo out there and trying to learn as much as I can.  I hope everyone is enjoying this cool summer here in Austin.
Have a great week,
