Today my daughter’s class went to their garden. When Halle got home from school, she handed me her produce and announced, “tonight, I’d like mashed potatoes with dinner please.”
Later, scooping her second helping of mashed potatoes on her plate, she told us about Mr. Gilliam’s preachings (as she put it). She told us that every garden day he gives them a “preaching” which made me smile. She said he taught them that they will always harvest exactly what they plant.
