 Richland 2 is currently considering whether or not Blythewood High and Ridgeview will be able to handle explosive enrollment before a new school comes on-line in 2011. It's a question being pondered by board members who received a briefing on the cost to expand the two schools last week.
 The current figure estimate a cost of $12 million for Blythewood High School and $14 million for Ridgeview for additions of approximately 38,000 square feet to each school. Projections show both schools facing the possibility of 2,500 students by 2011.

 Congratulations to Spring Valley High School. They have become yet another Columbia, SC school to be recognized for excellence. Spring Valley was recognized by USA Today as the recipient of the 2007-2008 Siemens Award for Advanced Placement. Only one high school per state is given this award in recognition of their commitment to students and leadership in AP participation and performance. Spring Valley will receive a $1,000 grant from the Siemens foundation.

 Statistics prove that when people go through a major change in their lives, this sometimes causes them to purchase a new home. When a couple is a bout to have a child or does have a child , for example, they sometimes need more room. So, sometimes they need to buy a new home.
 Now, keeping all of this in mind, what is another life changing event? Hmmm..........How about getting married.
