The waived fees include the permit fee, sewer connection charge, and park impact fees.  The waiver is an effort to lower the cost of home ownership and move some of the approximatley 1,100 vacant buildable lots within the city.  Only 32 building permits were pulled by builders in the year 2010.

Clients assume that it is the Realtors holding things up, but as the following article indicates the banks are learning as they go. I'm working with Countrywide Bank who say they have over 5oo short sales they are working with. What a mess, but there are … (0 comments)

jane mcmullan realtor: What is Title Insurance - 09/20/08 07:22 AM
Title insurance is a one time insurance premium that covers you against legal problems regarding claim to your property. These potential problems can be caused by mistakes and irregularities that may have occured in the past. Typically the seller purchases a policy to ensure that the title that is being transferred is clear of any liens or encumberances. The buyer purchases a policy for the lender to insure that they title will not be clouded when the time comes to sell, and that if it is the bank is not liable.
