A recent study commissioned by USAA and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as reported in the San Antonio Business Journal Morning Addition has ranked San Antonio as the No. 1 destination for military retirees. This finding is certainly not a surprise to me, since I made the decision to retire in San Antonio some 24 years ago when I retired from the US Army. Military Relocations to San Antonio, TX happen all the time, but the summer will be officially here this weekend, since we are already entering the month of June. Historically, more folks relocate in the summer months of June, July, and August, simply because school is out. Our military members are no exception, since many of them will be relocating to one of our military bases at Lackland, Randolph, or Fort Sam Houston, TX, which are also referred to as Joint Base San Antonio.
