The San Antonio, Texas housing market continues to grow from our previous year.  In fact, January 2016 started the year off with 1,534 homes being sold in the San Antonio market area, which was a seven percent increase over January 2015, according to the latest figures released by the Multiple Listing Service Report from the San Antonio Board of REALTORS®(SABOR), which includes all surrounding areas that list homes in the MLS.
 
Both the average and median prices increased with the average sales being reported at $224,527, and the median price at $186,2100, a six and five percent year-over-year increase, respectively. There … (0 comments)

The San Antonio Housing Market continues the 2014 trend by showing a strong pace, and kicking off a marked growth in prices and sales from all previous years. According to the January 2015 Multiple Listing Service by the San Antonio Board of REALTORS®(SABOR), a total of 1,428 homes were sold last month, which was a 5 percent increase from the same month in 2014.

According to a recap of the statistics released on the recent 2015 Housing Forecast by the San Antonio Board of REALTORS®, the real estate housing market is doing quite well, and is expected to do even better in 2015. As pointed out by guest speaker Mario Hernandez, President of the Economic Development Foundation, the population of San Antonio increased 2.04 percent from the previous year. That is a phenomenal increase for just one calendar year,  but the good news is, that means more home buyers. Last month in September 2013, the housing inventory in Military City, USA hit an historical low of 4.6 months, according to results released by the San Antonio Board of REALTORS(SABOR). This September report also shows that homes were on the market for an average of 70 days. The majority of the homes were sold for 97 percent of the listed sales price.
