The Manalapan Police Department in conjunction with Target will be hosting Manalapan’s National Night Out, on Tuesday, August 5th, 2014, from 5PM to 9PM (rain date August 6th, same hours)
According to the Manalapan Township website, "this is an annual event that is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back."

VETSTOCK, a free outdoor music festival benefit for wounded veterans, will take place on Saturday August 2nd from 12PM to 10PM. The goal of the event is to raise funds to assist in the rehabilitation of wounded veterans and their families. The festivities will be held at the Manalapan Recreation Center. Entertainment includes three stages with live music, custom and classic car and bike shows, family and children’s’ entertainment and business, craft and food vendors.

On Tuesday, August 5th from 6:00 to 10:00 PM is a fantastic free event in Marlboro presented by the Marlboro Township Police Department. The outdoor event will feature demonstrations by the Marines, SWAT, K-9 unit and first responders. On July 14 at 2:00pm the Marlboro Public Library Presents ‘Monuments Man’. Harry Ettlinger will be speaking about his experience as a soldier in the Army during WWII. Ettlinger spent a year and a half as part of the Monuments, Fine Arts and Archives Program, nicknamed the 'Monuments Men,' whose mission was to save cultural treasures from the frontlines and return looted artworks to rightful owners.
