coaching tip: Living Your Dreams! - 04/08/10 05:20 AM
How is it going this year? Are you living the life you want? Is the rest of the year going to include people, places and activities that will be memories for the rest of your life?
Last week, I got a phone call from someone I hadn't seen or talked to since 1978! My old friend, Huey Hurst, from my Basalt, Colorado days, was riding his bicycle from San Diego to Florida. He was in Wickenberg, AZ when he called, planning to go through Phoenix where his bike was getting some tuning and he was going to pick up his new … (9 comments)

coaching tip: You ARE like those you hang out with! Time to upgrade? - 02/03/10 12:17 AM
It DOES Make a difference who you spend time with! You've heard me (and many others!) say "what you focus on expands". If you surround yourself news and people who give you more evidence of how tough it's easy to buy into excuses for your own results. If you want to attract and create more to be positive, happy and grateful about ... your thinking and positive emotional state are the best tools you have to start with. Is it time to upgrade your Rolodex and your experiences? Have you outgrown some of the people you hang out with? Or … (81 comments)

coaching tip: Focus on Fall - 09/08/09 05:18 AM
Seems the whole world has shifted into another energy field as September has rolled in, the kids are back in school and the weather is cooling....It seems natural to take a cue from the universe and do some re-evaluating and shifting with our businesses.
It's a good time to look out to the end of the year and back from the beginning to assess
•·       where you are and what you are committed to accomplishing by year's end.
•·       What are you doing that is REMARKABLE?
•·       What is working?
•·       What can you add?
For many of my clients, I … (5 comments)

As I prepare for 5 weeks on the road, many people are saying "I wish I could take off for a month". The truth is you can! You can do ANYTHING you set your mind to and focus your priorities on.
The simple directive, "Follow your bliss" was penned by Joseph Campbell years ago and yet few seem to be able to set aside worries and minutiae to throw off the energy draining parts of their lives to get on with enjoying......
Here's a very simple tip as I leave to follow my idea of bliss:
If you'd like delve deeper into how you can … (5 comments)

coaching tip: Smiles and Laughter - 05/06/09 09:43 AM
I am at the Conversations Among Masters (#CAM09 on twitter) Coaching Conference in Branson Missouri this week. It's a change for me, because I am a participant instead of a presenter. An elite group of international coaches have been invited here to further the conversation about how, as coaches, we can make a difference in the world. The first full day of the conference offered delight-filled moments and inspiring dialogue. First, being around 140 other Master Coaches is a mind expanding atmosphere. It's like the biggest mastermind group I could imagine peopled by minds and hearts that are working at incredible … (2 comments)

coaching tip: Today, Patience is necessary! - 03/10/09 06:07 AM
Patience is not one of my virtues! I even have a little sign in my office I bought years ago that says, God grant me patience, and I want it right now!  I've often said my cautious, analytical, phlegmatic husband was put in my life to teach me patience. He is actually a wonderful model of it as well as being the polar opposite of my energetic, speedy, and sometimes impulsive nature.  Ah, it is so true about how we are attracted in a mate to that which we are missing and then once the attraction (or is it lust?) … (7 comments)

coaching tip: Are you a liar? I bet you are! - 11/10/07 09:42 AM
I don't want to sound preachy, but I have noticed that people with personal power have high integrity around keeping their word impeccably.
Think for a moment of someone you know who is impeccable with their words and deeds. Hopefully you can think of one, or perhaps a few people who fit this mold. You know what I mean: People whose word is good as gold: when they say something, you know you can count on it. They exude a certain power and are respected  held in high respect by others.
Unfortunately, this isn't most people. Most of us are liars. Oh, you may think you are not...after all, there … (5 comments)
