marketing: Real Estate SEO isn’t magic, but thankfully it’s not rocket science either... Part 2 - 12/08/11 04:09 AM
Real Estate SEO isn’t magic, but thankfully it’s not rocket science either, its a simple business plan with a simple purpose.
Step 1: How To Develop a Solid SEO Strategy     Thankfully, human sacrifice is not yet a requirement to improve your search engine ranking. Although, if Google ever changes its criteria it is best to think about who is on the bottom of the totem pole. Refreshingly, SEO strategy starts with a very easy and basic concept, keywords.

You begin with a little brainstorming. If you work alone, you may want to enlist the aid of a friend or friends. They don’t have to … (0 comments)

marketing: Real Estate SEO isn't magic, but thankfully it's not rocket science either... - Part 1 - 11/17/11 02:50 AM
Real Estate SEO isn't magic, but thankfully it's not rocket science either, nevertheless, it does involve hard work.    There has been so much talk about Search Engine Optimization(SEO), especially amongst bloggers and business professionals. So much so, that the term SEO is now a household name. Sadly, like many things that grow in popularity quickly, misinformation spreads with it. In fact, most people probably forget that it is an acronym. They talk about it as if it is an object or something that you can buy at a store. Some people have and continue to exploit such ignorance by selling it online as a product or an application.     … (3 comments)

marketing: iPhone 4 - Video Marketing made easy - 04/11/11 05:55 AM
2 years ago I started testing with video marketing.  It started with my Sony Cybershot camera, to a web cam to a Mac webcam to a Sony DDR High Def camera & sophisticated software.  Over time I realized that a few things:

1. Stop trying to be perfect. Some of my best videos (content & hits) where some of the most amateur.
2. Real videos are real good.
3. Speak from your heart and answer common questions from your clients.
4. The easier it is to do your videos, the more likely you'll do them.

marketing: Want more business take over an old phone # - trust me this works!! - 03/13/08 07:36 AM
The other day I was noticing that there are a ton of brokers & real estate companies out there that have closed down.  We are picking up a lot of their old clients.  The I get a tip from one of my associations.  They told me to find out which mortgage companies are closed, find out which telephone provider has the phone number & get it forwarded to your phone number!
This was way too easy I thought.  Well after looking in the Yellow Pages & calling a few mortgage companies that were out of business, I was able to pick up their … (4 comments)

marketing: How do you get business in this crazy market??!!! - 03/05/08 04:03 AM
For years now I have tried everything & anything to get business in the door.  I've tried buying leads, pounding the pavement from door to door & floor to floor until there ain't no more!!  I've tried mass faxes, letters, postcards, telemarketing, business handouts, seminars etc, etc, etc.  I've used coaching from 3 different companies & have networked with groups such as LeTip & my local chambers of commerce.
What I've found is that the BEST things are the ones that cost the least amount of money!! The best results come from just doing things differently.  The highest ROI (return on … (6 comments)

I am one of those guys who likes simple. Why?
Simple is easySimple is inexpensive Simple can be given to your employees to take advantage of.Here's an idean I got from Tim Braheem at loantoolbox.com that I have used for some amazing success. Here's the drill to get your phone ringing!!  Each and every day I put two blank note cards on my desk. Every day it is my job to personally handwrite two note cards to someone. Often I just go through my database and send a card to one of my past clients in an effort to nurture that relationship.
