Tallahassee Home Values have declined by roughly 33% across the entire market coverage area, but we are seeing the rate of decline slow over the past six months. While I am not certain that this is anything more than a seasonal fluctuation, I’ll take it as some moderately positive news for a housing market that has shown very little positive news in the past few years.
Normally, we graph the one-year trend in order to remove all seasonality, but the six month trend often provides insight on the “here and now” view of the market, which is critical information for somebody … (6 comments)

Recently, I’ve had a few people ask me about Avalon at Maclay and felt that it would make for a good blog post. This desirable Northeast Tallahassee neighborhood has seen the rise and fall of the housing market, with home values still falling from the peak of the market from just two years ago, making Avalon at Maclay “a poster child” for what is going on in Tallahassee.
Thus far, single family detached homes in the Avalon (Villages at Maclay) have depreciated roughly 21% since the peak of the market in 2007, which is consistent with other areas of the Tallahassee … (0 comments)

Housing supply and demand In Tallahassee is measured on a daily basis at Tallahassee Housing Reports in order to discover changes in real estate market trends. The current trend is moderately good.
When looking at all of the housing data in the Tallahassee MLS, we find a trend of slight improvement on the demand side, while the supply side has leveled off. If you have a home for sale in Tallahassee, then you might be curious about the differing performance levels of different areas in Tallahassee.
