This contrasts with 4 transactions occurring at a median price point of 350K in January 2010 and 3 homes selling at 305K in Feb 2009. This mid coastal real estate market continues to remain sluggish, but hopefully with continued regional stabilization it will see improvement like the rest of the region helped along by Maine first time home buyers and historically low interest rates. This contrasts sharply with no homes having sold in January 2009 and up 100% from 2 selling in December 2009. For the month ending January 2008 the Harpswell Maine real estate markets saw no transactiong occur. Ouch!! This contrasts with 4 transactions at an average price of 747K in January 2008. Thus the mid coastal maine real estate market has perhaps one of the worst years in its history as Phippsburg and Georgetown Maine, the next 2 peninsulas up saw no transactions occur as well.
