Just heard the Honorable Chris Dodd saying the President was "trying" to keep from nationalizing the banks.  If that is true, I bet congress is really upset with the new President.  I think I know why congress is so incensed with the banks giving millions of dollars of bonuses to their executives.  It's because congress wants to nationalize (take over) the banks and appoint their own crooked cronies to run the companies. Then they can get kickbacks when the congress appointed CEO's embezzle and steal millions while running the companies into insolvency. ie: FannieMae and FreddieMac.

2009 Looks Good!
Let's review 2008 first.  Residential sales totaled 18,302. That's down from 20,783 in 2007, a 11.decline.   Average sale price was also down.  Depending on your area and price range from as little as 2.9% to as much as 15%. 
Obviously, the higher price ranges and areas with a lot of foreclosures were hit the hardest.  Home sales are down 23.2% from 2005...the pinnacle year in central Ohio home sales.
That's the bad news.
Here's the good news.  Since the first of the year the real estate business has been on a tear!  MLS has just 11,494 homes currently listed.  … (0 comments)

There's no parachute in this bailout!
What are the chances of GM and Chrysler repaying their bailout loan?  I say about as good as buying a good GM (Government Made) car.   
Our congress had oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  They loosened up the requirements of getting a loan and permitted even sanctioned subprime loans.  Do you think they can do any better running GM and Chrysler?  I'm an optimist, but that's a stretch.  When the automakers come back with their plan, congress will reject it because cutting jobs and benefits and salaries won't get votes, and politicians don't … (0 comments)
