Having been behind a hammer for 15 years there are certain advantages I have gleaned over other Realtors. There are shortcuts that I know a builder may take and certain options that should be standard depending where you live. I have put together a list of items to think about when looking at rehabbed or new construction. Is this a "paint and carpet rehab"? So many times over the past 5 years I have wandered into a home that has been "rehabbed" and found that there are some minor changes, fresh paint and clean carpet.
