This Veterans Day, please join the City of Coconut Creek, dignitaries, and guest speakers. Along with the Coconut Creek Police Department Honor Guard and the Coconut Creek High School Jr. R.O.T.C. on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 as they pay tribute to all those that have served protecting our freedom. The 2nd Annual ArtsFest is a fundraiser to help the Coconut Creek Multicultural Circle. The nonprofit organization was put in place to help unite the Coconut Creek community through celebrating customs and cultures. The FREE family friendly event will have live music, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu presentation, a Tango dance team, Hispanic book authors and a flutist from Peru. There will be 30 artists displaying and selling their photography, sculptures and paintings. Don't forget to check out the section for kids that includes a balloonist, maraca painting, coloring station, and face painting. Next in the Series of: Broward County Dog Parks Even though we do not have a dog "yet"-- I've been on the lookout for dog parks in our area! We have what I like to refer to as a "postage stamp" backyard, with zero lot lines. For someone that grew up with nearly an acre of land and woods surrounding her home, in my mind this isn't big enough for a dog to roam around.
