Yet another scam "pops up" in our email. You may have seen this one; perhaps not. It is a new twist. Most of the others have come from some foreign national who needs your assistance in moving their millions of dollars or some widow who has unclaimed funds that she needs your help accessing. Or are you a long-lost relative? This is the first time I've seen this one; apparently the originator of this scam feels you'll fall for a serviceman; how low can they go. The frequency and quality of your communication with sellers is important. We often communicate by phone calls, mailings, and periodic meetings. All of these are important methods for keeping your seller informed as to the progress of their listing and providing them with feedback from potential buyers and buyer agents that go through their home. I am trying to learn as much as I can about marketing homes I have listed. Sure, I do a lot of the traditional marketing including: Newspaper ads Open Houses The use of signs Mailings to my SOI Distribution of calendars and baseball/football schedules Passing out business cards Emails to friends, relatives, past and current clients Distribution of flyers I am also aware that over 78% of the buyers out there search the Internet for homes and information related to the purchase of their next home.
