alabama land for sale: Creating Positive Outcomes
- 10/16/12 12:35 AM
The rural land business in 2012 has been a pleasant surprise based on reports from land agents I have spoken to. Our company, AlaLandCo, is experiencing our highest sales volume since 2007, in what is touted as the worst real estate market in 75 years. The rural real estate rebound has been modest by many experienced land agents’ standards, but we are certainly grateful for the uptick. Personally I attribute my increased sales this year to one thing. DISCLAIMER: This article is for my benefit; it is to serve as a reminder to follow this advice in the future. Maybe (3 comments)

alabama land for sale: Better Investment: An Ounce of Gold or an Acre of Land?
- 07/20/11 09:11 AM
An Ounce of Gold or an Acre of Land? Yesterday I noticed that the price of gold has risen to $1600 per ounce, and the thought struck me that land in my part of west Alabama is selling for approximately the same price per acre. I posed the question to two local business owners whether they would rather own an ounce of gold or an acre of land. Both men responded that they would rather own land. This is an intriguing question about investing and value. Full disclosure, I am not a research economist, an analyst, or an investment advisor; I (9 comments)

- 08/27/10 05:22 PM
What does a "Buyer's Market" really mean in today's rural land climate? This past week I had the opportunity to present offers on two different tracts of rural land in Alabama. Both of these prospective purchasers made an initial offer of roughly 2/3 of the asking price of (0 comments)
