waterfront: Holiday Weekend and Wet Dog Roundup - 05/27/08 04:31 AM
This past weekend was the first time in nearly a month that I took some time off.  Granted, it was only a day, but taking time for yourself is important, and it's nice to get away from time to time.
I spent Saturday at my parent's home in Virginia(literally, smack dab in the middle of nowhere), and enjoyed the beautiful weather and some time with the dogs.

waterfront: Everything I Need to Know I Learned From Working Hard! - 03/14/08 02:58 AM
I admit, I'm not a big fan of the cold weather (why I ever lived further north is beyond me!).  I like summer, I like warm sunny weather, and I'm ready to enjoy said climate again.  I realized this morning that we are already in the middle of March!  Now, you would think this would be obvious, but not to me.  The days all run together when you don't take time off, and I've been neglecting to give myself any personal time.

I found an aerial view of the proposed swan point site plan which  should give a better idea of what exactly they are planning to build out there.  Feel free to click on the photo for a larger image.     It sounds like area residents are still concerned about the expansion (I would be too!), and now there is a little bit of a concern about the taxes.     Last week the developer filed an application for the county's new tax increment financing (TIF) program, and the proposal goes something like this:
The county would use public, tax-free bonds to … (1 comments)
