throwbackthursday: TBT- Roma - 03/24/16 01:39 AM

Today’s #ThrowbackThursday is dedicated to 3 years ago in the Eternal City, Roma. The rich history, breathtaking art and vibrant street life of this inspiring city makes it easy to get lost and explore for days on end. This picture is in front of the Pantheon, the ancient Romans’ finest architectural achievement. How mind-blowing it was to be surrounded by such incredible history! As I look at this picture and reminisce, I cannot help but wish that I was there right now, sharing a carafe of local wine over lunch in a trattoria. :)

throwbackthursday: Throwback Thursday- Disney - 12/09/15 09:43 PM

Here is a #tbt from Disney with my wife circa 2009. Disney plus Food and Wine Festival equals an amazing time had by all! I cannot believe how much has happened since this picture- I have only started posting throwback's, but it really does make me think about how quickly time flies!

throwbackthursday: Throwback Thursday- Skiing is Not my Forte - 12/02/15 10:27 PM

Happy #ThrowbackThursday, everyone! Today's post is when I went skiing with my (now wife) nine years ago. We were at Beach Mountain, NC. I fell the entire way down the slope- it was quite embarassing because seven year olds would be wizzing by me without ski poles, and there I was - utterly failing. I eventually made it down the mountain, however, not without plowing into Candace, hurting her knee and ending the day early. Needless to say, I opt for a sandy beach and clear water for my fun. :)

throwbackthursday: Throwback Thursday- Reconnecting - 11/25/15 09:00 PM

Today's #throwbackthursday is with a couple that Candace and I became friends with during our European trip in 2013. Andrew and Bailey became good friends of ours throughout the trip, and here we are in Myrtle Beach together. The little guy is Andrew and Bailey's son, Carter. This was such a wonderful evening full of catching up with each other and what has happened in our lives (Carter being one of them) followed by a wonderful time at a piano bar.

On a side note...Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope that everyone has a day full of family, friends and delicious food. :)

throwbackthursday: Throwback Thursday- Ocean City - 11/05/15 04:29 AM

Here is a throwback to summer vacations in Ocean City, MD. I'm the one with the pink shorts and arms crossed- I was 10 at the time. Every night before our trip to Ocean City, I would watch Jaws with my family; I recall boogie boarding out on the waves and noticing a baby grey whale that had been hit by a boat wash up right next to me. The irony of watching Jaws the night before and seeing that fin appear right in front of me was entirely too eerie.

throwbackthursday: Throwback Thursday- Swim Around Charleston - 10/22/15 03:08 AM

Today I wanted to do a throwback to when I competed in the first Swim Around Charleston, a 12-mile swim around the Charleston Peninsula. I swam on a relay team with two friends, Joe Reniaro and Mark Goedecke, and my father, John Crompton. In this race, the competitors swim from Remley’s Point down to the Cooper River and up the Ashley River, ending at the 526 Bridge. On this day, the weather was beautiful. Though the water was a bit chilly, it kept all of the swimmers moving at a brisk pace! My team and I each did an initial 30 … (1 comments)
