The complete 1954 Rodeo Collection of 26 oil paintings by Arizona artist Ted DeGrazia are based on the annual all-Indian rodeo on the Tohono O'odham reservation west of Tucson. According to curator Jim Jenkins, DeGrazia referred to the impressionistic images as his "drastic" paintings that capture the dramatic action on colorful canvas.
