You just found out that your credit report has an error on it.  You are not alone, many, many reports contain errors.  How do you fix this?  The first step is to write a letter to the credit bureau that has the incorrect information and ask that they investigate, and update your report accordingly.  You need to write to each bureau that has the incorrect information, writing to just one will only update that one report.
