After reading my other posts about Oceanside Inn, which were critical of the Board actions, I would expect someone to ask whether there is any positive news for Oceanside. We love balance, and we love happy ends. No problem, We have it all here. I am glad to state that the Front Desk Rental Management Company is very good. SunStream bought the operation and the commercial space on the first floor a few years ago from Integra Resorts.So, they are not just a third party providing rentlas for the owners, but an integral part of Oceanside with vested interest. We have an absolutely gorgeous two-bedroom condo in Wyndham Ocean Walk Resort in Daytona Beach. The unit is on the 24th floor of the North Tower, and the panoramic vistas are magnificent (check a short YouTube video/slideshow below). I received the call from the agent. He has a couple, who are here only for one day, and he wanted to show them the unit. I called the Owner Liaison, she checked the computer, the unit was available, no reservations, so she sent an email to the Front Desk authorizing this particular agent to receive the keys between 4 and 4:30 … (15 comments)

This time of the year watching numbers is a form of entertainment. I checked condo-hotels just before the new year, and there were 147 condo-hotel units for sale. Checked today and there are 172 units for sale as of today. What a change. But not anything really unusual.
This is the slowest time of the year, and we have yet another month and a half of it. The inventory goes up and no buyers, and then March comes and suddenly there is plenty of interest to condo-hotels, and the cheapest are sold in 2 weeks, and suddenly we have a … (46 comments)

Time to visit Fountain Beach Resort in Daytona Beach. Looks like Fountain Beach Resort is more in line with a normal market tan many other condo-hotels and condos in the area. For a 148-room resort 11 units available for sale per our local MLS is a healthy number. Since August 15 to today there were 3 units sold. This is a darn good number, and actually, it is higher than average number of units sold in one month in the Fountain Beach Resort Many other condo-hotels and condos have much lower inventory percentage-wise.
