I had a "for rent" craigslist ad, and received an email from a person expressing their interest "rent with option to buy". At first I thought this was some kind of scam. I asked to send me his phone number so we could have a little chat. I called him, and here is what happened. It turned out, he works at the Navy Yard, very same building where the attack just took place. I was glad to hear he was safe. Rachel (not her real name) contacted me for the first time back in March 2010, just when the $8000 tax credit was still the driving factor for First Time Home Buyers to come out and buy their very first home.
