burnaby cycling: The Velodrome in Burnaby?

Have you ever wondered as you drive the beginning of the Barnet Highway what the little dome across from Kask Bros is for? I have driven past this building that is surrounded by trees on the bottom side of Burnaby Mountain many times always wondering what it is. This structure is the Harry Jerome Sports Center, a 53,000 sqft sports facility and is also a Velodrome. Not that many people would know what a Velodrome is including me before researching this.
