Investors are continuing to recognize the growing value of Miami properties as buyers flock to one of the latest waterfront condominiums to hit the market. Elysee Miami, at 700 N.E. 23rd St. in the Edgewater neighborhood, has been quietly selling some of its units in the 57-floor tower expected to begin construction in April.

At 1011 Michigan Ave. in the heart of South Beach — and not far from my own apartment, incidentally — there’s an apartment for sale in a beautifully restored Art Deco building. Villa Lucca is the definition of affordable luxury. And unit #3 is its latest listing, coming in with its gorgeous hardwood floors and fancy appliances for a cool $345,000 (asking). For a one-bedroom in a quiet neighborhood on the Beach, that’s a heck of a good deal.

miami realtor: Would a Wynwood ‘Mini-City’ change the face of the arts district?

Have you seen the news? Earlier this month, The Miami Herald reported that the entrepreneur/developer Moishe Mana wants to build a 24-acre ‘mini-city’ in Wynwood Art District. The plan, he told the paper, would be to take an abandoned strip of property in the neighborhood and build new buildings for tech and arts uses. He claims he wants to “make something out of nothing.” But I don’t think Wynwood is nothing or has been nothing for the past five years.
It’s not actually clear from the story whether Mana is requesting permission from the city to build residential properties as well, but that’s one (0 comments)

One of my favorite little-known condos in Miami is a loft just north of the Arts District called Bank Lofts. If you’re driving north on Biscayne, this is the apartment building on the right just before Northeast 82nd Street. The building was originally supposed to be a bank, but in 2007 it converted to a condominium instead — a rather gorgeous one at that.
You won’t be sleeping in the vault or anything like that, but the residents of Bank Lofts enjoy some of the largest and most genuine lofts in Miami, where developers often slap the word “loft” on units even though (0 comments)

The Bath Club was originally built in 1926 on the site of an old avocado plantation. (Can you imagine avocados growing on Collins Avenue today? Ha!) It quickly became known as one of the most elegant buildings on the Beach. And after a 2005 renovation, that’s still true: The Bath Club is the height of old-school luxury.
