Twitter boasts over 1 billion (with a B) user accounts, and over 500 million tweets each day. Here's an interesting fact, a survey of people under 30 showed that over 80 percent use a mobile device to communicate with friends while watching TV, with 72 percent using Twitter, Facebook or other mobile applications to actively comment on shows as they are watching them. What does that have to do with Real Estate lead generation? People are communicating more rapidly these days. Gen Y is texting more often than they talk and they are asking and receiving the collective opinions of their friends … (5 comments)

This Social Media Marketing and Networking thing is kinda’ like being on a Diet isn’t it? I mean we’re 60 days (just about) into the New Year... and it's tough eating broccoli every week, and working out everyday, and all that other stuff that seemed like such a good HEALTHY thing to include in the plans for a bright and prosperous 2011! And what about those other BUSINESS goals? Did one of your 2011 Goals include Blogging, Tweeting, Facebooking (is that a word?) everyday or every week? Have you been able to Stick to It? I’m one of those jump right in kinda’ guys… no sticking my toe in to see what’s happening for me! But when I first started communicating and networking on Twitter, I have to admit it wasn’t making much sense. I kept doing it, but I just wasn’t “Feeling” it. Since then, I’ve learned 5 Things About Twitter that made it easier for me! #’s are your friend. Hashtags, those # marks, are one of the ways to search for information on Twitter. So #Dallas… or #Cardinals… you can even put the Hashtag and the word or term in your Google “search” … (9 comments)
