knife lake mn: My Monthly Newsletter... How I do it.
- 05/07/07 04:26 AM
We got talking about mailings, and I started discussing my newsletter. I've seen comments and blogs from agents who say they are having virtually no response from their mailings. So I wrote a long winded comment on one blog, but thought I would throw it up here, too, just in case someone else was interested. So far it seems to work for me! Living in a rural area, we have newspaper boxes, which I'm sure not all of you have. What I do is make a monthly newsletter, which includes a couple of my listings on the back, a recipie that (13 comments)
knife lake mn: Before I'm off to showings...
- 05/06/07 02:59 AM
I had a client call me yesterday morning. I had taken yesterday morning off (trust me, it wasn't easy!) because it was garage sale day here in lovely Mora. I live for garage sale day. While garage sale-ing, my cell rings, and it is one of my sellers. I answer "Hi, this is Joslyn" "Hi Joslyn...what are you doing today?" I reply, "Well right now, I'm in town, and I'm on my way to the office to set up some showings." (True) "Really?" "Yes dear, what are you doing?" "Oh, I'm going grocery shopping today. About six months ago, we adopted a beagle named Shiloh from the Washburn County Animal Humane Society in Spooner, Wisconsin. (Yes, we drove two hours for a dog!!!) Every month I get a newsletter from WCAHS, which I love to read. I would have to say that WCAHS does a great job taking care of the animals and finding fundraisers to keep them going. While on their site yesterday, downloading "The Scoop" online (cheaper for them if I print it myself rather than having it mailed), (5 comments)

- 05/01/07 08:42 AM
There is one thing about me that I really don't understand, and can't seem to figure out. I have this horrible addiction to Duluth. Now that snow is gone, I seem to be going through withdrawls. It's like this every year. Every year since I first went up there on my own. I just want to get in my car and drive up there. Worse yet, I want to STAY up there for a while. Just like a mini-break. I find myself wishing I had a place up there. Then I pull up the Duluth MLS, and just make myself more (1 comments)
knife lake mn: My Opinion of the Real Estate Market
- 04/24/07 07:03 AM
I was SHOCKED the other night, as I'm sure many other people were, when I heard a news anchor on my favorite station say "The real estate market appears to be turning around...." Everyone immediately seems to explode into "How, what, why, when, and who???" Everywhere I go, someone has an opinion on the real estate market. There isn't a day that passes by that someone I know in this small town finds out that I'm now a REALTOR, and says "But isn't it a bad time to go into that???" Well here I am, after more than a year at RE/MAX, (0 comments)
