I'm sure you've heard the news reporters talk about how bad the real estate market is, and how prices have dropped.
Well, it is true that prices have dropped, and Mora is no exception.
Prices in Mora (like everywhere else) had been inflated for quite a while.  Now, with the adjusting market, more properties have settled into the correct price, which is great to see.
Right now is the perfect time for anyone to buy a home.  If it is your first home, you can get started in a decent house with a smaller payment, and earn equity as the market begins … (0 comments)

Even me.
So, with that said (don't deny it, you know you love it!) here is my second MeMe.
By the way, you can read my first one - Me? Me-Me'd??? Who Woulda Thunk It?

mora minnesota: What Is That Orange Horse Thing in Mora? - 07/10/07 08:57 AM
What a great question!
First, I'll show you what Wikipedia says:
"A Dalecarlian horse (Swedish: Dalahäst) is a traditional wooden statuette of a horse originating in the Swedish province of Dalarna. In the older days the dala horse was mostly a toy for children, but nowadays it is used as a symbol for Dalarna or sometimes the whole of Sweden."

The Dala Horse was originally a toy, created by woodworkers for their children.  Most often they were made of scraps left over from the creation of clocks, since that was a primary source of income in that era.
Horses were important, also, in that … (1 comments)

mora minnesota: If You Had a Showing Nearly Three Hours Away, What Would You Do? - 06/11/07 09:47 AM
I recieved an e-mail last week from some clients who wanted to see a commerical property in Swatara, Minnesota.  I was excited, because although I hadn't dealt with commerical property yet, this was a very cute looking building, and I couldn't wait to get inside!
I Mapquest-ed the route, and found it to be approximately two and a half hours from the office.  I debated all weekend long, knowing that this was going to be a long ride, which I hate to do alone.  So what did I do?
The logical thing, of course!
I brought my cat!
First, let me say that my cat, … (9 comments)
