sewer pipes: What NOT to Flush!

What NOT to Flush! The Public Works Department would like to remind residents that many materials flushed or poured down a drain can harm the pipes that are connected to the sewer system and cause sewer backups in your home. Many of us are having lots of people using our toilets this weekend, so please be careful. I guess having a sign up of what not flush would be tacky . . . but here is the list!
Basically, the only thing you should ever flush down the toilet is human waste and toilet paper. Keep the following out … (23 comments)
