Charleston's Historic Windows -"9 over 9's" and "12 over 12's"
What a rare find.....a house with both "9 over 9" and "12 over 12" windows.  The twelve over twelve's are only found in Charleston's oldest homes.  Seldom do you see an example of both "9 over 9" and "12 over 12" in one setting.  These types of windows were circa 1879 and can be sighted around downtown Charleston. 
 
Can you count the panes ?  Two sashes of twelve panes = 12 over 12.
